What are our Strengths?

I listened to a ton today about capitolizing on our strengths. Too bad I have no time to blog about it. In the mean time I want everyone to think about what their strengths are.

Enough with the "If Only's"

I know I said I was giong to post everyday on my blog but that would mean having to go to my inlaws every day to post! Freakin internet! Anyways, I have been doing really well at reading or listening to something every day though. Today I was listening to Bob Proctor and he talked about a survey that he did in the top 10 biggest cities in the US where he asked some of the wealthiest, happiest people in those towns, how they got to where they were at. What was their secret? It was interesting to hear that every single one of the people surveyed gave the exact same answer! They all said that they never allowed their situation to trump them from working toward their goals. They never gave up no matter what their circumstances were. They all set a goal that was so big and so great that it made them get tingles just thinking about it and gave them the drive to accomplish it.

How many of us get scared just thinking about "what would be our biggest, greatest, most fantastic goal, that we want to reach?" Do you not even want to think about it? Or if you do, do you stop yourself because you don't want to "get your hopes up?" Whoever came up with "don't get your hopes up", was probably a miserable man. Why shouldn't we get our hopes up? Why shouldn't we know exactly what we want in life? A few of us know how bad we want eternal life with our loved ones and we study every single day the guidelines we must follow to achieve it! If we have high hopes or dreams about things we want to do or have, and we spend the same amount of attention to these things, what will hold us back? Only us! Circumstance cannot, unless we let it! Which all of us have allowed to control us one to many times. We cannot continue to think: "If only things were different." "If only I had the money." "If only I had a better job." Why do we waste so much energy thinking about the if only's and never thinking about the "how's" How can I start today? How can I raise the money? How can I manage things better to find the time?

A quote I love to hear from one of our leaders in Nouveau Rich is

"If your WHY is great enough, the HOW will take care of itself"

Awaken the Giant

This is a clip from a really crappy movie but this clip rocks. We can all learn a ton from it. There is a giant that lays dormant in all of us, we choose if we want to awaken it. In my opinion we all need a coach. Whether that be an actual "coach" a business coach, family member or even our spouse. It is only when we are pushed that we gain the strength to get what we want in life. That is why nothing good comes easy. We must have the strength to gain it. If my goal is benching 300 pounds, I may choose to just get what I want right at the start, by starting at 30o punds but I would not be able to support it. I have to build up to it. That is exact same reason why lottery winners return to poverty in such a little time. They had neither the strength nor the experience to carry such a weight.

I hope the following clip gets you guys excited to start working toward what you really want in life. Push yourselves to attain your goals. That is the only way to get them. Enjoy!!!

The Good the Bad the Positve...

Well today I had a lot of time to think about the different energies in my life. The positive and the negative.

1st: The Negative. The energy from all of the things or people that bother or annoy me. This energy is like a black hole that sucks you in and turns everything negative. It is the cause of every moment we find ourselves complaining or nagging, or speaking negatively of others. It all roots from those things we allow in our lives to bug us, to pester and infect us. All of those people in our life that wronged us, or said something offensive. WE CHOOSE to let these things be talk of our discussion. We speak ill of these things, we dwell on them often and the result is bitter feelings, anger and spite, but these are not the only result. Why do we allow so much of ourselves to fall into this bottomless pit of endless dispair? Why do continue to let the negative control what happens in our lifes. Have any of us ever had a "good" day while all we thought about was how angry we were at one of our neighbors or someone at work. Our entire world is effected by how much energy we give to these things. The result from thinking negatively is not just bad feelings spring up inside of us. It is much more. We may begin to find a lot more "bad" things happening to us. More people begin to cut you off, more lights begin to turn red and stay red for an eternity! You begin to fight more with your spouse, you lose your job, maybe even a car wreck. All things resulting from us atracting these things into our lives by thinking negatively.

2nd. The positive. Don't you just feel down after just reading all that negative jargin? Well now on a brighter side. We must allow all of our energy to be dedicated to the positive. I bet we can all think of someone who is happy all of the time, but we continue to say to ourselves 'why do things always go well for that guy?' I can think of many who are always happy and things just happen to always work out for them. We must not allow ourselves to be carried away in loathing, and begin to focus our energy in positive creation; that is when our whole world changes. We FEEL GOOD! Isn't that what we all want? What is bad about feeling good? Nothing! We all want that? Now that feeling may come in a variety of ways for each of us, but we all know what it feels like. It's intoxicating! The feeling of christmas morning, the feeling of seeing a good friend after being apart for months. The feeling of giving and seeing the reciever's face light up with joy. I heard once that if we are to be happy we must be self centered(I know Steven Covey says to be principle centered but bare with me). He talked about how Mother Theresa was an amazing example of being self centered. Now I know she dedicated her whole life to others but we are not focusing on why she did it. She focused on others because it made HER feel good. She did it because she felt it was HER obligation and that God commanded HER to do it. She wasn't doing it for others for any other reason than the fact of feeling good and accompishing what she thought was to be her purpose in life. Does that make sense? We must search out and dedicate all of our energy to thinking positively. How much energy do we waste after someone says something offensive to us. We think about it all the time, we complain for hours to everyone we know about how stupid the other person is, and nothing is accomplished. Well not for good at least. Now what if we would of just confronted immediatley that person and ask them why they said whatever they said. We may have even just missunderstod them. If we haven't developed that kind of courage yet. Then we can say to ourselves 'hmm he must have been having a bad day' And then forget about it. Our entire world will change for the better as we begin to think positively. We will develope stronger relationships, get that raise we are looking for, and that signifigant other might even become a bit more passionate...

The only way to know how much your world will change is to just begin to search only for the positive. Quit choosing to focus on the negative or it will follow you wherever you will go. Good luck, I would love to hear from everyone anykind of experience that is a direct result of thinking positively. Let me know!

Kung Fu Panda

Sorry this isn't the best quote to kick off this blog but I heard it today and I liked it.

'Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that is why they call it the present.'

This is the first of many....

I decided today that I was going to create a new blog! A blog completely dedicated to anything and everything inspirational, uplifting, empowering, motivating, positive, powerful, encouraging, etc. The driving forces in our lives that make us get out of bed every morning; the forces that get us what we want out of life. These are the things that make our dreams a reality. If we want to reach our goals in life then we must push ourselves to attain them. We must never give up after we have fought so long for something, for we may be closer to reaching it than we could ever imagine.

I have tried so hard to be diligent in reading inspirational books to keep me going, but I have been finding it hard to read everyday. I am starting this blog as a tool to help me search for something every day that is motivational. I know that through doing so I will be able to awaken the giant that is dormant in me. Climb higher and reach the goals that I have been allowing circumstance to take away from me.

A post that I read recently insired me to start this blog, so I want to thank my sister-in-law Tara for throwing on one of her blogs. She had the following video, one that made me not only get into better shape, but to start being who I want to be.

So I guess this is day one. Any of you that will be following this blog, I will need your encouragement to keep it going. Thanks
